Description
Modderfort is in the Eastern Free State in Rosendal and offers comfortable overnight accommodation for a quiet getaway for a few days.
The cottage is ideal for a couple, 2 single travellers or a small family of 4, and comprises 2 cosy bedrooms that share the use of a bathroom. Each room is furnished with an old-school boiler, double bed, electric blankets, and panel heaters and the bathroom is fitted with a slipper bath, a toilet and a washbasin. An old water tank in the garden has been creatively converted into an outdoor shower with warm water for guests to use.
The kitchen is equipped with a two-plate gas stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, coffee- and tea-making facilities, a Nespresso machine, crockery and cutlery. The living area is furnished with a few interesting and eclectic pieces of furniture and artwork, as well as an old-fashioned, wood-burning stove for cold evenings.
The living area opens onto a large, cosy patio with double doors. There is a nice chill area on the veranda with 2 day beds and colourful blankets and pillows for evenings on the veranda. There are lovely braai facilities and a garden for guests to enjoy. The garden is also fenced off, and dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
